Hi, I'm Meghanto!

I'm a CS PhD student at the University of Houston starting Spring 2026. I have an MS from the University of Oregon and spent time at Los Alamos National Laboratory working on scientific visualization and high-performance computing problems. I'm drawn to the messy, interesting challenges where computation meets real data.

I build things—sometimes research tools, sometimes automation scripts, sometimes just experiments to see what's possible. Outside of research, I play chess, listen to way too much music, and get unreasonably interested in urban planning and GIS. I'm always looking for problems worth solving and people worth learning from.
